GAS COMPRESSION STATION IN POGGIO RENATICO (FE) – SRG - ITALY -

BK STRUTTURE COOPERATED WITH RENCO SAP FOR CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING ACTIVITIES FOR ENHANCEMENT OF GAS COMPRESSION STATION IN POGGIO RENATICO (FE) – SNAM RETE GAS SPA - ITALY 

Confirming the partnership and close cooperation with RENCO SPA, BK STRUTTURE completed civil and structural engineering activities for enhancement of the Gas Compression Station in Poggio Renatico (FE) per Snam Rete Gas spa.

The planned activities concern the design and verification of the steel structure with the relative connections of the ELCO Building and the relative external stair tower for access to the roof decking level along with 6 internal steel supports of adequate stiffness. Activities will be performed for about 9 months.

The empowerment of the Poggio Renatico (FE) compression plant project consists of the replacement of the existing 12 MW TC1 turbocompressor with a 15 MW electrocompressor (ELCO - EC5) and the construction of a power line connecting to the Poggio Renatico electricity grid. National Transmission (RTN) to power the aforementioned electrocompressor.

The work is also part of the REPowerEU Program of the European Commission and has international relevance as it allows the increase in overall export capacity towards Northern Europe and Central-Eastern Europe, responding to the immediate needs in terms of security of gas supply

The gas compression station, active since 2008, is located north-east of the town of the Municipality of Poggio Renatico (FE) in via Uccellino - Strada Provinciale 8 Km 11.5, adjacent to the gas distribution hub, also owned by SNAM.
