SAP2000 is a finite element calculation program designed for civil engineering. It has very versatile characteristics, so much so that it falls into the category of so-called "general" programs, i.e. capable of analyzing structures with very different characteristics. It is currently used in over 160 countries around the world and boasts the highest number of users in the industry. This broad reach allows the program to enjoy invaluable on-the-ground control and feedback. Thanks to them, the reliability of the software is constantly maintained at a level of excellence.

Modeling, analysis and verification:
The modeling, analysis and verification phases are integrated into a single object-oriented graphic environment which makes using the program intuitive and easy to learn. Even the most complex models can be created easily, starting from predefined templates and using specific drawing and meshing tools. Dedicated commands allow the automatic application of loads (wind, earthquake, wave motion) and the design of the elements in accordance with Italian, European, American standards and the main international regulations. Its ease of use allows you to exploit the power of SAP2000 for any activity, from large projects to the smallest everyday problems, making it the most effective and productive structural calculation program on the market.

The powerful 64-bit solver allows you to perform step nonlinear analysis, P-Delta and large displacement analysis, buckling analysis, fast nonlinear analysis (FNA) with dampers, base isolators and dissipative supports, phased construction and much more.

Advanced level module:
The Advanced level is able to perform linear analyzes in all the various modes: static, modal dynamics with response spectrum, pace dynamics (Time History). Some non-linear analyzes are also envisaged: second order geometric non-linearities for small displacements, only tensioned or compressed rods. The elements used are frame and shell types.

Also included is the management of moving loads, solid elements, buckling analysis, non-linear analysis in all its various modalities, including push over, step dynamics, large displacements.

Additional modules for Italian projects:
Finally, specifically for projects in Italy the following are included:

• Additional VIS module for the design and detailed verification of reinforced concrete elements
• Seismic mapping of the Italian territory
• Response spectra from NTC
• Automatic generation of load combinations from NTC
